Finished Reading The First Year: Type 2 Diabetes BookTuesday, August 22, 2006 Today I have finally finished the The First Year: Type 2 Diabetes Book by Gretchen Becker (click here to purchase from our store). Although the book did have its ups and downs, it was a very good book to read as a newbie to the world of diabetes. I would recommend this to anyone who is in his or her first year with this confounded disease. I will write up a more formal review in a few days, so this is all I am going to say. However, I have begun to write up a few things for an online supplement to the book. I am going to try and email her before it goes live to see if she has any suggestions on my idea – I hope she likes it. She could have one of three attitudes: 1) Doesn’t care; 2) Will be supportive and give me some good constructive help and criticisms or 3) She wants me to take the supplement off-line and never use it. Well, she does not seem like the person who does not care and unless she feels that it a supplement would be a threat to her, she will at least give me some encouraging words and maybe a few tips. Hopefully she will see this as a free promotional tool where the book is being touted and in fact encourages people with Type 2 diabetes to purchase the book.
